Summary:
Under the supervision of the Public Policy Program Manager, the Digital Equity Program Coordinator will support the Digital Equity and Navigation Programs of El Concilio of San Mateo County (ECSMC). Specifically, the coordinator will lead the New Voices for Youth Program and Connectemonos! which help connect community members and youth to access digital resources and increase our communities technology and digital literacy. The Coordinator will also provide ongoing technology education, training, and support for ECSMC programs, staff, volunteers and promotores.
About the Digital Equity and Navigation Programs:
The New Voices for Youth Program supports students from underserved communities to use video and other digital tools for advocacy. Meeting in afterschool centers, students choose subjects, practice interviews, create and edit digital narratives. Historically, the program has taken place in North Fair Oaks at the Siena Youth Center (SYC), and in East Palo Alto at the Boys and Girls Club (BGCP).
Connectemonos! supports and guides local community members on how to navigate technology and digital literacy with support from high school ambassadors. Currently, the program takes place at the North Fair Oaks Library with the goal of expanding to other locations.
Tasks Include:
Lead and coordinate the Digital Equity and Navigation programs and initiatives
Assist with the administration and facilitation of workshops and trainings across the Digital Equity and Navigation Initiatives
Recruit youth from BGCP and work with them to incorporate their participation for the New Voices for Youth Program
Teach video filming and editing techniques online and in person
Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to high school ambassadors, lead ambassador and volunteers
Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for youth and adult learners
Maintain accurate program data and support with reports and data entry
Act as a liaison between ECSMC, working groups and subcommittees - conduct presentations as needed
Work in partnership with ECSMC Programs and Teams to provide technology education support as needed
Additional administrative tasks and support as needed
Minimum Qualification:
Education and Training Equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree or 2 years experience working in technology education, community trainings, digital literacy programs or in a similar capacity
English proficiency; Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Commit to support overall agency mission and vision
Ability to exercise good judgment, tact and diplomacy when interacting with clients, guests, ambassadors and co-workers
Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality track record
Compensation: $24-$27 Hourly
Non-benefited Position
Work Schedule: 20 to 30 hours. Final Schedule will be finalized upon hiring, typically:
M-Th 12-8PM and F 9-6PM
**Most programs are in the evening and may require some weekend programming.
Location: Hybrid
*Direct-service and programming are on-location, while some meetings and administration can be done remotely.

Position Summary
El Concilio is seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-oriented Full-Time Case Worker to provide general case management and direct client services to individuals and families in the Redwood City–North Fair Oaks community. Based out of the Redwood City office, this role focuses on one-on-one client support, systems navigation, and community-based outreach to improve access to basic needs, public benefits, and community resources.
The Case Worker plays a critical role in building trust with community members, supporting immigrant and low-income families, and ensuring services are delivered in a culturally and linguistically responsive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Client Support & Case Management
Conduct client intake, screenings, and comprehensive needs assessments
Provide ongoing case management and individualized support plans
Assist clients with applications and referrals for services including (but not limited to):
Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs
Housing and rental assistance
Transportation, Food access, utilities, and emergency assistance Immigration-related referrals (as appropriate)
Provide follow-up support to track progress, address barriers, and support goal attainment
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case notes and client records in designated data systems
Community Outreach & Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with residents, promotores, and community leaders
Represent El Concilio professionally and respectfully in community settings
Support community education and enrollment activities related to benefits and services
Support as needed with outreach across the county through events, schools, community sites, and partner organizations
Coordination & Collaboration
Coordinate services with internal programs and external partners to ensure holistic client support
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, trainings, and supervision
Communicate client needs, trends, and systemic barriers to program leadership
Administrative & Program Support
Support data collection, reporting, and documentation requirements
Adhere to agency policies, confidentiality standards, and funder requirements
Contribute to the continuous improvement of case management processes and client experience
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, client services, or community-based work
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Strong understanding of or lived experience with immigrant and low-income communities
Knowledge of public benefits systems and local resource networks, housing navigation assistance strongly desired
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated cultural humility and ability to build trust with diverse populations
Proficiency with Google Workspace
