Position Summary:
El Concilio seeks a full-time Outreach Coordinator to lead our outreach and engagement strategy, with a focus on community visibility, strong partnerships, and internal coordination across programs. This position will provide leadership and strategic direction for the promotores program and serve as the lead for outreach-related grants. Cross-collaboration across teams is required to ensure outreach and community engagement are consistently delivered across every program area. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all ECSMC’s programs and the ability to effectively communicate and represent them at events, collaborations, and meetings. This role also supports data management, grant writing, and reporting related to outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the promotores program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance oversight of promotores, as well as setting program goals, coaching promotores towards these goals, and driving continuous improvement of the model.
Maintain ongoing communication with program managers and leads to ensure alignment of outreach efforts and promote cross-program visibility.
Serve as lead for outreach-related grants and contracts, including managing reporting and compliance requirements, ensuring all grant deliverables and outcomes are met on time.
Serve as El Concilio’s representative and liaison with community partners, collaborators, and event organizers to sustain and build relationships that enhance El Concilio’s presence and impact
Regularly attend community events, outreach activities, collaborative meetings, and partner forums to represent ECSMC and adapt outreach strategy based on community feedback.
Maintain an up-to-date outreach calendar, track attendance, and manage data collection and evaluation for all outreach activities.
Manage all outreach materials, ensuring timely updates and distribution of print and digital content that reflects ECSMC’s current programs and priorities.
Stay informed about local resources, services, and partnerships relevant to the communities we serve and promote strong community relations.
Support with grant reporting and data management, including documentation of outreach metrics, preparation of outreach-related reports, and assistance with funding proposals.
Ensure consistent, knowledgeable communication about ECSMC programs to the public, reflecting a clear understanding of program goals and resources.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience in outreach coordination, community engagement, or social services.
Prior experience leading a program, team, or initiative preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
English proficiency required; bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Knowledge of San Mateo County resources and community dynamics.
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and maintain strong partner relationships.
Ability to commute across San Mateo County.
Excellent organizational skills, including experience with data tracking and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize competing deliverables.
Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events
Compensation
$25–$28/hour, full-time (non-exempt); includes benefits (health, vacation, sick leave, holidays)
Location
Hybrid (Remote and San Mateo County-based in-person work)
